27 Questions for His 27th Birthday

Our Founder and Creative Director, Tahir "Legacy" Murray Turns 27 today!

You sent in questions and these are the 27 we chose for him to answer.

1. What keeps you humble? None of what’s going on is in my control.

2. Any songs/albums on repeat? Man on the Moon:The End of Day by Kid Cudi. Love that album.

3. Any new discoveries? Who are you a fan of lately? Me.

4. What’s a fashion piece that’s timeless for you? A watch. I'm just now getting into watches and wow.  

5. Do you enjoy the business side more or the creative side? Creating. That's when I feel most alive!

6. If you were President of the United States what’s the first call to action? Hear me out. We are getting rid of CP time. Summer 2026 is about being on time. All events are starting on time. The cookout... on time. Parties. All that. 

7. What’s something on your bucket list? To drop an album.

8. If you didn’t study business what would you have studied at howard? Hmm. Art History. 

9. A night in or a night out? In. We got Serato at home.

10. What are you doing for your birthday? I promised myself, rain or shine, I’d go hiking. So by the time you’re reading this, I’m probably deep in a forest.

11. What’s something you enjoy learning about people? Learning someone’s taste is important to me because it communicates their interests and values. Taste in music, food, movies, fashion… anything.

12. What’s next on your movie list? I Love Booster. Boots Riley is fire.

13. What is a must for your dream home? A Steinway piano and the loudest speakers I can find.

14. Dream collab? I genuinely don’t have one. Who wants to build the coolest and biggest ideas together? Whoever signs up for that is my dream collab.

15. What’s a new flex of yours? I spoke at Harvard.

16. What’s a saying that is very important to your life right now? My dad has always said “work smarter, not harder”. That has saved my life a couple times.

17. What’s something you are proud of thats unrelated to work? Being an Uncle. My niece is 3 months old now and she brings me so much joy.

18. What keeps you going? Two things. 1. The possibility of what if. 2. A piece of a Hu bar at the end of my day.

19. What’s your favorite form of freedom? Being as far away from my phone as possible.

20. What was your first job? I was a  soccer referee in middle school. The pay was good but I quickly hated it bro because I wasn’t the best ref lol and the parents were too serious for their kid’s 10U game at 9am on a Saturday.. I just couldn’t do it.

21. What’s something that keeps proving itself true in your life? It’s going to work itself out. It always does. God is the greatest, he be up there COOKING.

22. What do you do to become a better creative? Bury that ego.

23. What’s something you take with you everywhere? Headphones. 100%. Wires only.

24. What is your ick? Someone who didn’t vote.

25. How would you describe your style? Who is your fashion icon? Cozy. Comfortable. Fashion icon? Probably Adam Sandler. He is Mr. IDC What the Dress Code is. #respect

26. What reminds you of home? Soca and mom's fishcakes.
